It was only when she became terminally ill in 2013 that he realised how special the landscape had become for them both. There, his mother could continue to live in his thoughts. The fear of going back and really losing her kept him from setting foot near her mountains for a long while. For years, he visited his mothers guesthouse only in his dreams. They
