This creates a slightly smoky aroma, which is rather rare in Japanese whiskies. Notes of sweet vanilla, bananas, candied apricots and spices are convincing at the beginning, before a composition of nuts and chocolate spreads in the mouth. A complex single malt that is fun to drink!
